Terms

The short version: we treat you fairly, we ask the same in return, and nothing here is designed to surprise you.

Booking and cancellations

Appointments can be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours ahead at no charge, by phone or email. A late cancel or a no-show uses one hour of your balance, because that time was held for you. Your first late cancel is waived. If we ever need to reschedule on you, we will give you the same courtesy and priority.

Payments

Sessions and add-ons are due at the end of each visit, by card, check, or bank transfer. Add-ons include the $75 travel fee for visits to your home or office, extra time past the booked session in 30-minute steps, and software or other expenses at cost, with a receipt and never marked up. The travel fee can be waived when we agree ahead of time. Packages of hours are paid up front and never expire. Unused hours are refundable at the single-session rate. Payments are processed by Stripe.

What we promise, and what we cannot

We promise honest advice, careful work, and plain language. We do not sell hardware or take commissions, so our only interest is what works for you. We cannot promise that lost data is always recoverable, that a scam payment can always be reversed, or that any system is immune to failure. When something is beyond us, we say so and help you find the right person.

Your accounts and your consent

We work on your devices and accounts only with you, at your direction, and with your consent. You always keep control of your own passwords and accounts. See our privacy page for how we handle your information.

The formal bits

Services are provided by Good Ancestors LLC, doing business as Local Host, 1979 Ashby Ave, Berkeley, CA. These terms are governed by California law. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. Questions about any of this: info@hellolocalhost.com.
